Jason’s passion for change combined with a talent for bringing out the best in people has garnered him a reputation for delivering breakthrough performance and long-term results in individuals, teams and organisations. His approach is based on 15 years of leadership in major blue chip manufacturing businesses, as well as 30 years of studying coaching and systems thinking alongside some of the leading thinkers in the industry.
A number of significant roles in his varied business background have helped shape his methods: Operations Manager at one of the UK’s largest oil refineries; leading a global convenience retail transformation programme which focused initially on Germany, New Zealand, Poland and the US West Coast; Vice President for HSE; and operations for a major part of BP’s fast-growing business including the pioneering alternative energy business.
His skill in developing people and teams was consolidated in his role as Head of Talent and Executive Education for a significant part of BP, incorporating all the fast-growing niche businesses and global trading activities, and encompassing a population of around 8,000. In this role he implemented a revolutionary leadership programme which has won plaudits from external companies. He was also responsible for delivering a world-class talent programme as well as coaching and assessing senior executives.
He is a seasoned and experienced coach and works across a variety of businesses, from the financial services industries to retail and manufacturing. His views have been published in the national media including BBC Radio 2, The Sunday Times and HRZone. Jason has a degree in Chemical Engineering and is a Chartered Chemical Engineer. He has studied Economics and Finance at London Business School and Strategic Breakthrough Thinking at Cranfield Business School. He is a qualified NLP Master Practitioner and NLP coach, an accredited Insights Facilitator, a graduate of Dialogos (which leads the field in systems thinking) and a qualified Coach.
